How old is your installation?   Try Doing a System Restore to as Factory as you can get it and download the Sp1 standalone. Start in the search box type restore It will display "System Restore" click that and away you go. So after that I checked windows updates and SP1 wasn't there, so I downloaded and ran the full installation to try and save time.
