I ran schriste's script last night and after the server reboot I was finally able to invoke Windows Updates through IE. Yes that is not a perfect check but it’s generally sufficient for a quick peek. Scan Failed With Error = 0x8007000e I tryied some of the fix likeStopped the Automatic Update service,Renamed the SoftwareDistribution folder in C:\Windows to SoftwareDistribution.old ,Started the Automatic Update service but no luck.
